Have a question?

Do I get a choice of homes?

Yes. Haulfryn deal with all the major park home manufacturers and each of our parks has a selection of new and pre-loved homes ready to view. If an empty plot is available on a park, a bespoke home can be ordered specifically to suit your taste and requirements.

What are the costs involved in buying a home?

There is no stamp duty, no solicitor’s fees and no legal requirement to make searches. You pay the price agreed for the home fully sited and furnished.

What protection and rights do I have when buying a park home?

The Mobile Homes Act 1983 (including Model Standards 2008) gives you security of tenure and resale rights. Rest assured, that all Haulfryn residential parks are covered by the Act. However, some holiday parks may appear to offer residential-style living and are not covered by the Act, so please exercise caution.

Are there park rules?

Yes. Park rules vary from park to park so please ensure these are studied. They are intended to make life on the park enjoyable for everyone and to ensure standards of cleanliness, civility and care are kept.

How long can I keep my home on the park?

No time frame is enforced. Haulfryn simply asks that owners keep their homes clean, tidy, safe and secure in accordance with the park rules.

What are the ongoing costs?

An annual pitch fee is paid monthly. Additional charges are metered electricity and gas, water and sewerage, home insurance and council tax (normally Band A unless otherwise stated).

Can I pass my residential park home to my family or estate?

Yes. The remaining spouse can continue to reside in the park home with the full benefit of the Mobile Homes Act 1983, or the executor of your estate can sell the park home.

How do I sell my home?

You can sell your home at any time to the park owner or privately to a third party. Under the Mobile Home Act 1983 (including Model Standards 2008), the park owner is allowed to charge up to a maximum of 10% of the sale price to the purchaser.

Are pets allowed on the parks?

Many of our parks allow cats and/or dogs. Please see the individual park pages for details.

Is there on-park management?

Each of our parks has an allocated park manager that will visit the park on a regular basis and many live on the park themselves. Each park also has experienced maintenance staff committed to making each park look its absolute best – these staff are always available to help if required.
